Dr. Arnab Ray is a highly personable, competent and light spirited person with extensive knowledge of anorectal diseases and their management. He went to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Vidyalaya of BTPS Township and Hooghly Branch School. He completed Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) from prestigious and century-old Ayurvedic Institute of the Nation, J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata in the year 2000. Dr. Ray went to Government Ayurveda College, Nagpur for post-graduate studies in Ayurvedic surgery and pursued doctoral study from Rajasthan Ayurveda University. He received exposure training in Panchakarma from Central Research Institute (National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma), Cheruthuruthy, Kerala and exposure training for Diabetic Foot Care from Indian Podiatry Association.

At present, Dr. Arnab Ray is affiliated to the Department of Surgery of J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata as Associate Professor. He regularly participates and present research papers in different National and International conferences of Ayurveda and Colorectal Diseases.

Dr. Ray has special interest in treatment of various anorectal diseases like fistula-in-ano, anal fissure, haemorrhoidal disease (piles), constipation and pilonidal sinus. Presently, he is concentrating on Anal fistula treatment with ksharasutra in recurrent, complex, high-anal and complicated fistulae and panchakarma treatment in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He has a keen interest in management of chronic wound like diabetic ulcer, venous ulcer and decubitus ulcer (bedsore).

Dr. Ray has a superior understanding of current diagnostic procedures, modalities of treatment of anorectal diseases. He believes in providing with cutting edge information about the ailment to his patients and building strong interpersonal relationship.

Besides medical profession, he is a Rotarian and a responsible family man.
